Why Vegan Snacks?

Some people find changing to a vegan diet a bit daunting to begin with.

A simple way to add both extra taste and nutrition to fresh veges, is to dip pieces into hummus. Carrot sticks, broccoli, cauliflower... in fact just about anything, tastes nice with hummus.

Hummus is full of healthy ingredients such as chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic and lemon. Hummus is loaded with nutrients including iron, vitamin B6, copper, manganese, folic acid and amino acids. The amino acids found in hummus help you get good quality sleep and uplift your mood.

Hummus also contains plenty of Omega 3, which is great for both brain and heart health. Hummus is a fantastic and versatile dip and is also great in sandwhiches, wraps and spread on crackers.

Vegan snack bars are another great addition to your pantry. Most are full of healthy ingredients and are substantial enough to stave off those hunger pangs for ages. They are great for gym goers and anyone who leads a busy and active lifestyle. It's a good idea to keep a few of these in your car glove box or in your handbag for emergencies.
